Aggie Game

We left Colton with the Grandparents and took the boys to an Aggie Game. It was so fun, and they loved the band. The Ags were winning pretty significantly by the end of the 3rd quarter, so we left to walk around the campus. Sadly, when we got back to the car, the Ags had lost. Those second halves really seemed to get them this year.

Halloween

Star Wars was the theme this year, and the boys loved their costumes. Braeden was Jango Fett (Bobo Fett's clone/father), Colton was R2D2, and Austin was Captain Rex.

I took them to Lindsay again for a mini session with a good cause. It was a canned food drive and mini session. They were super cute, and I love the way she captured them in this shot!

Just before going to school for Halloween parties, I took my own little photo sessions. They are the cutest Star Wars characters I ever saw!

Octoberfest

The Lutheran church in Galveston has an amazing Octoberfest every year, and we couldn't wait to go. It has tons of stuff for the kids, lots of yummy food, German bands, and lots of dancing. It's our tradition (the boys and I) to get out there and do the Chicken Dance. Embarrassing, yes.....worth it to have a blast with my boys, absolutely!

This year they had these motorized animals the kids could ride, and we must have ridden them at least 3 times.

Pumpkin Patch

In Houston, you just never know what kind of weather you will have around Halloween. We visited the pumpkin patch on a gorgeous sunny, hot day. I couldn't get them to sit still very long to take a picture together, but here's what I got.

Renaissance Festival

Another beautiful warm day to visit the Renaissance Festival. Of course a picture with the giant is necessary. He even makes Andy look short.

And the best part for Austin and Braeden was jumping on these trampolines being flung up in the sky. They did this over and over throughout the day. So much fun!

September Stuff

The month of September was spent adjusting to a new schedule with a kindergartner. Life changes completely when they go to school, and you begin living for the weekends again. Where before you could miss school, and had more days off, the pressure to be in attendance is higher now (especially with our little type A man, who doesn't want to miss). The afternoons are longer since he gets out at 1:50, which means naps are cut shorter in order to pick Austin up. We have it figured out now though, and I am sure adjusting to a greater amount of homework next year will be an issue.

Of course we still have our weekends to chill out at the bayhouse.

Braeden is such a nature lover. He is interested in bugs, plants, rocks, dirt, dinosaurs, and anything outside. I can't wait to see if he turns out to be a scientist like a botanist, astronomer, geologist, or paleontologist.

September is also Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and I work hard each year to spread the word about this disease to everyone I know. The last two years (beginning at least a month ahead), I have been making teal colored bracelets to hand out with information about ovarian cancer. I give them out to as many people as I can, and hope that when they get the bracelet, it will remind them to pray for this disease to be cured, or remind them to pass the information about it on to someone else.

This year I attached them to cards that I got from the Teal Toes website (for free) and another card with the address of my blog on Ovarian Cancer. I passed out over 200 of them this year, and hope to pass out more next year!

Also in September Braeden started his last year of preschool and Colton started his first year of Mother's Day Out. Here they are on their first day.
