Grandma and Grandpa Get to Know Braeden

Mommy and Austin's Day Out

Grandma watched Braeden for us, and Mommy and Austin took a much needed day out together. We went to the Butterfly Center, and saw hissing cockroaches, huge hairy spiders, as well as lots of butterflies. We had a great time together!

Daddy's Boots

Austin is "Soooo Big!" here in his Daddy's boots. He enjoyed putting them on, and slips his feet into any of Daddy's shoes he finds lying around. They are some pretty big (size 13 to be exact) shoes to fill!

Austin Gets His First Haircut

Everything was going just fine...Austin got to sit in a taxi cab (fitting since he was born in New York), while watching a video, he liked it when she sprayed his hair wet, he didn't even mind being combed, but then.......well, the pictures say it all!

Visiting Great Grandparents

We took Braeden on his first trip to Louisiana to meet his Great Grandparents and Great Aunt Alice. We also went to his Great Great Great Grandmother's farm house for a family reunion where Austin enjoyed a saddle ride!

All Smiles

Braeden loves to smile at us. He also has quite an extensive vocabulary including words like: goo, ga, eeeooo, and squeals. Here are a couple of his many smiles!

Just A Swingin'

Austin likes to "help" Braeden swing. Unfortunatly the swing quit working, so we had to buy another!

A trip to Gander Mountain with my Daddy was fun. I wasn't scared of the bear at all. I even thought it was ok to touch him. By the way, I pronounce bear...."beer" in case you were wondering.

Future profession? Who knows! Austin sure does love to play with his doctor kit. Come a little closer and let me listen to your heart!

New baby, old toys

Hey, this used to be my chair. I can still fit in it! I guess it is ok if my brother wants to use it too.

Best Friends

Austin loves his brother....he calls him "baby" and the feeling is mutual. Braeden gave his first big smile to Austin.

We can't believe that Braeden is already 6 weeks old. He is growing so fast!

Lunch with Mimi and Pops

We went and met Pops for lunch after a long morning of shopping, and Austin was thrilled to see him!

Second cousins visit

We had a wonderful visit with Austin and Braeden's second cousins Evelyn, Claire, and Kristen. They drove all the way from Bryan to bring gifts and meet Braeden. Here is Evelyn holding Braeden. Claire was having way to much fun with the doggies to capture a picture of her.

Boys will be boys

We just had to capture this picture of Austin chillin' in his chair, juice in one hand, Disney channel on t.v., shirt off, after a long day of swimming with Grandma! Life is good! This chair used to be Mimi's when she was Austin's age. He loves it!

It has been a long, hard day!

The biggest guy and the littlest guy in the house had long hard days, and now they are both crashed out on the couch. Who could resist taking this picture?

Praying before bedtime

It is bed time and Braeden is getting ready for bed. As you can see, he already has his fingers ready to say his night time prayers.

Where Aaaarrrreeee Yoooouuu?

Austin's new favorite game is hide and seek. He does all the hiding, and Mommy does a lot of seeking. He is great at finding a corner, covering his eyes (because then you can't see him), and waiting there until you find him. Luckily, he laughs when you get close so that helps to find him. Here he is hiding in Braeden's room. He's doing a pretty good job, as you can see in the first picture. The second picture is probably pretty hard to see him, since he has his hands over his eyes. Hee hee! :)

Sooooo sleepy

Even in his sleep Braeden's arms are up by his face. He rarely puts his hands and arms down.

Here is the cow in Braeden's room. I thought you would like to see him too. Or maybe you would just rather look at me in my Astro's outfit that my Aunt Lisa gave me. It is hard to tell which is cuter, the cow or me, isn't it?

Here I am reading a book in my pj's in my room. I am sitting on the toy bench that used to be my Mommy's when she was little like me. Do you like my horsey on the wall? He says "knee knee" (that's how I say neigh neigh).

Oh my goodness, hurry...he's awake!

Not that we are complaining, but capturing a picture of Braeden with his eyes open is pretty hard. Here is one attempt. It is hard to tell, but he has the bluest eyes like his big brother and daddy. Hopefully they stay that way.

Hey Baby, Wake Up!

Hey Braeden! Wake up and come play with me. I have sooooo much to teach you, and so little time. Let me start by teaching you a very important word that I love to use.....cookie. It is pronounced cooooooo-keeee. Use this one, and you will love the treat you get!

Summer is officially here!

Check out my new swimming pool. I was a little nervous at first, but now I love to splash! I have even gone swimming in a big pool with my grandma, and she says I'll jump from the side to her. I am preparing for my trip to the Florida beaches in August.
